The name “Narnia” is taken from the famous “Chronicles of Narnia” series written by C. S. Lewis. Narnia is an imaginary land where children have fun and adventure and in the process learn great truths about themselves, the world they live in and their Creator. We desire our Narnia to be a place like this.

Narnia Christian Preschool and Early Childhood Centres are the Early Childhood facilities of St Philip’s Christian College and most centres cater for children from 0 to 5 adjacent to the Kinder to Year 12 campuses.

Each centre is individual and purposefully fashioned either from magnificent homes, providing a warm, homely atmosphere or purposed built and fashioned around the environment of the area. Each centre has a truly wonderful outdoor playground with its very own ‘forest’ or opportunity for adventure

The centres are fully equipped with the latest technology for staff and students yet balanced perfectly with the natural environment of the building and the playground including working herb and vegetable gardens.

Each centre has been fashioned in the theme of C.S. Lewis’ famous novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe with unique floor to ceiling murals creating an exciting fantastical feel throughout.

Every room has been uniquely designed to meet the individual needs of our children. Lucy’s Room, catering for zero to two-year-olds, being set up as close to a home environment as possible; The Dancing Lawn for two to three-year-olds concentrates on hands-on discovery and imaginative play; The Little Woods is a dynamic preschool program for three to four-year-olds; The Great Woods for four to five-year-olds is a stimulating and challenging environment with a successfully tried and tested program that will prepare the children for the best possible transition to school.

The Centre’s proximity to St Philip’s Christian College Junior School benefits the Transition to School program by allowing easier access to school facilities as the year progresses. Children preparing for school become very familiar with the school environment before they begin Kindergarten with regular lessons and visits as part of the program.

The beautiful facilities combined with outstanding staff who are deeply committed to the care, education and well-being of young children makes Narnia the perfect place for young children.
