Welcome to Narnia Young Parents Waratah
Welcome to Narnia Young Parents. We are delighted that you are interested in learning more about our centre.
Narnia Young Parents exists to provide a supportive partnership for our parents who are studying at the Young Parents Hub. This site has been designed to introduce you to our program and the unique environment it provides for nurturing the development of your child.
We understand that as much as our young parents are determined to improve their own circumstances, their motivation is to provide a loving environment for their little ones and to improve the future prospects for their babies.
Our fully qualified Christian Educators understand that the first few years of a child’s life are a time of extraordinary development. Whilst their parents are studying in the classroom, the children are engaged in a stimulating, early learning program.
The student classroom is adjacent to Narnia, enabling the parents to participate in the daily nurturing of their children. The curriculum for some of the courses studied by the parents also incorporates activities planned for the babies.
Each baby and toddler we care for is a special gift and uniquely created. We are eager to get to know each child and watch their journey of discovering all that God has created them to be.

Meet Our Staff
Narnia staff are educated and experienced in Early Childhood education. We follow the Early Years Learning Framework to provide developmentally appropriate activities which are stimulating, challenging and creative and which cater for individual needs and interests. We provide flexible programs which promote self-discovery, spontaneous learning, independence and a positive self-esteem.
Our greatest aim is for all children to feel safe and secure in a loving Christian environment. This is the greatest entry point for learning.
I love to work in partnership with families to provide quality early childhood education. I place immense value in learning through play and ensuring that children have every opportunity to reach their utmost potential. I have been extremely blessed to work within the St Philips community as a Director for both early childhood and OOSH services since completing my Associate Diploma in Social Science. I am currently completing my Degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband and I have three beautiful children and attend The Rock Church in Port Stephens
I am so blessed to work in such an amazing place such as Narnia. The children are always teaching me new things and challenging me to learn more. I live at home with my mum and my younger sister. The things that I enjoy most are hanging out with family and friends and playing sport. I enjoy being a part of the youth team at Macquarie Life Church. I also enjoy going to the beach in my spare time.
Since obtaining my degree in Early Childhood Education in 2012, I have been privileged to teach many wonderfully unique children across two continents, where I have realized that within each child lies greatness. I love to discover what that greatness is in each individual child.
I have always had a passion for children and for impacting the next generation. I believe in being God’s hands extended in love and have been blessed with many opportunities to do this through my teaching as well as through fostering, mission trips and children’s ministry.
My husband and I attend The Grainery Church, where we serve together in Children’s Church. We have been blessed with 3 wonderful children and in our spare time we love to be together in nature- whether walking, running, camping or exploring.
I started in Early Childhood Education (almost by accident!) as a nanny.
Children are fantastic and I learn so much from them! I started working with young parents in 2002 and am loving being part of the Narnia team.
I also enjoy making creative things from scrap wood and metal, old movies and camping. I am married and have two wonderful step daughters!
I began working at Narnia in 2019 as a trainee and can safely say my passion for childcare grows each day.
I love that I have the opportunity to witness and contribute to children’s development during these valuable years of their lives and count it a bonus to do so alongside passionate, fun and loving educators. I appreciate how much I learn from the children, their uniqueness.
I attend Macquarie Life Church. I enjoy quality time with friends and family as well as singing, sports and the beach.
I count it a privilege to walk alongside children and parents in an Early Childhood setting. A child discovers so much about the world in these foundational years which makes working at Narnia an exciting and stimulating environment to be part of.
I have a special interest in music and love the way music can be used to enhance bonding between children and caregivers as well as simply being fun.
With my husband and two teenage children we are part of Hunter Bible Church. As new comers to Newcastle we are enjoying exploring the wonderful cycleways around the city as well as the beautiful beaches.
I have been working with young parents at Narnia since 2019 as a trainee. I am now a qualified certificate lll early childhood educator. I love watching children grow and overcome challenges. This gives me a sense of joy.
I am a single mum of a teenage daughter. In my spare time, I like spending time with my family and friends. I attend Hillsong Church in Newcastle
I have a dual degree in Social Work and Theology. Since I was little I have always had a passion for working with others especially children and their families. I love supporting others to grow and believe in walking along side families to assist them in reaching their goals.
When I am not at work I am usually spending time with my Husband and Daughter playing at the river near our home.
I have been working in Early Childhood education for many years in a variety of settings but one thing never changes, the joy of watching children grow and develop. I see it as a privilege to work alongside parents, families and an incredible team to support and encourage a child’s growth and development. Looking at the world through a child’s eye of continual wonder and exploration opens up a whole world of learning.
Outside of Narnia I am a wife, mother, mother in law and more recently, a grandmother. I love and appreciate any time I get to spend with my family and taking in all God has created while taking time out to swim at the ocean baths.
